Yesterday, a meeting of Joint Commission of The Government and Ethnic and National Minorities was held in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. In the meeting participated a group representing our Foundation as well as other, well known to the foundation’s leadership Romani. On the occasion of the Commission’s sitting, a meeting with the Minister took place, concerning, among other things, discrimination against the Roma and issues related to Roma children. Taking roma children away and putting them in polish foster families was an important topic. It was one of the many meetings, in which our Foundation had a possibility to proudly represent Roma – each and every meeting only proves to us, how important our work is!

From September 12 to 15, we began work on the previously mentioned project – “The Roma Alphabet by Bogdan Trojanek”- in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. We managed to conduct many fascinating interviews, offer an insider’s look at Roma life, and highlight the challenges the Roma community faces. The first episodes will soon appear on our YouTube channel, and a broadcast on TVP3 is also highly likely. Stay tuned – it’s coming soon! Below are photos from the set that capture the atmosphere!

We are extremely proud and deeply honored to have been invited to participate in the International Romani Union congress in Sibiu, Romania! While we take great pride in this invitation, unfortunately, none of our representatives will be able to attend the congress scheduled for September 4 – 6 of this year, due to prior commitments. Nevertheless, we are very proud to be recognized as a foundation working for the well-being of the Roma minority in Poland. We look forward to collaborating and participating in future events organized by the International Romani Union, and we hope for fruitful cooperation with the Union as well as other organizations dedicated to the Roma minority, both in Poland and across Europe!

The school year began in early September. The Foundation is incredibly proud to support the young people in its care with their education and to provide them with school supplies. Crayons, notebooks, pens – everything needed to start the new school year with joy! Take a look at the photos below – you can see how delighted the young people are!

A few days ago, the foundation acquired a massive stock of food supplies. This came about at the request of a warehouse owner whose facility was being used to store the goods by someone who had failed to pay the rent. After consulting with officials from the Sanitary-Epidemiological Station in Szczecinek, we received authorization to distribute these supplies to the most needy members of the local community – both Roma and non-Roma alike. You can see photos of the stock below; there is a vast amount of it. We are delighted to be able to pass this food on to those who need it most. This is just one of our foundation’s many missions; every project completed, every humanitarian initiative carried out, and every person we help further motivates us and reinforces our belief in the value of our work!

Episodes will be published on our social media channels, and our blog will feature updates on the project’s progress, including behind-the-scenes photos and footage from the shoots. The first posts regarding the project are coming soon, so we encourage you to follow our social media and check our website’s blog!

This blog will cover events and news related to the foundation’s ongoing activities, ranging from the day-to-day life at our integration center to the various projects and initiatives in which we participate. In today’s post, we want to share how the foundation spent this summer; despite the holiday season, we have remained very active, organizing enjoyable activities for the young people attending our integration sessions. Below, we present photos from the summer, featuring dance lessons, group drawing sessions, and time spent together.
